If I could change one thing....

GPA please. It's horrible. =(

I regret my CR SAT score
I could have done much better

Did not quite fully comprehend how important fit was at the beginning of the search. Now, there are several schools on my list that I know I should not have applied to. You'd be amazed at how intense the pressure was to go to an Ivy League school, and then realze the ones I applied to were not for me.

I would have gone to public school and gotten a 4.3.

GPA..def, because my 9th grade year was a mess... my 10 grade year i carried the tradition(started in 8th grade) of at least one D per year...thyis year i could have been trying harder but my issues were in the way, just got a therapist so i hope to round out the year well. Do I hear a C-less 4th nine weeks report? (I should have tried for all A's and me & my big attitude got one of my sure A turned into a B for one 9 weeks.)
I mean i'm golden ( kinda... haven't taken the SAT yet.. Psat's were high in crit reading, average like in writing (not if there was an essay on the test, math -BAD.) But i will take a prep class that i won't fall asleep in.

i could change everything for the better.

everything, i wake up every morning thinking of at least one thing i could change i just wish i had done it right instead of being SO DAMN LAZY

I would have changed how I applied. Should have applied for a science major instead of pol. sci. My verbal was only 670 while my math was 780... Anybody know how much this affected me?

nobody knows. i'll take a guess.

if you applied at really competitive schools like Harvard, Yale, etc., it might have hurt you, but by no means did it cause your rejection.

My extra-curriculars suck...i have like 3

i'd never take yearbook. its poisoning my life right now, as well as my GPA

My race....

I wish I had tried at my Extra Curricular activities before Junior year. Granted, I still have 3 leadership positions, but still...

sigh ... freshman yr

Yea, stuff matters
I hate my soph year GPA - probably could have gotten like all 6 of my BS/MD programs that way

but, who needs more than one?

just go where you were accepted, and enjoy the hell out of it/study

raehil99: "everything, i wake up every morning thinking of at least one thing i could change i just wish i had done it right instead of being SO DAMN LAZY"

yeah, i'm filled with regret over all the stuff i could have done better if not for complete laziness. my essays weren't terrible, the informal interview i blew didn't kill my app, and my letters weren't bad. maybe erasing those B's in algebra 2 would be nice, but i said apply to more schools, because that was the one thing i wish the most that i could have done. to go with that, i'd like to raise my sat/act scores a bit, take another subject test (omg, only two, what was i thinking?!?), and then put more effort into my ecs so that i could have accomplished a little more and enjoyed them a little more. now i have five days to decide between four schools that only moderately interest me. anybody else going into engineering, or maybe physics? we can make a time machine and go back to mid-may of '05 (past ap tests... i don't want to take those again) and do it all the right way!

GPA/rank like crazy. Shoulda tried to get more "known" in school cause too cause thats what officer elections are in my school: popularity contests.

I wish I had applied to Georgetown as a French major, not Polysci. I applied EA and got defferred and then sent them a letter changing my major, but i wish i'd done it from the get go. i also wish i had visted more colleges (i.e. shown more interest) and i wish i'd had an interview at wash u.

Mainly, i wish i had applied EDII somewhere i had a shot of getting into instead of hoping in vain i'd miraculously get into UPenn/Brown/Georgetown and wasting the opportunity. instead i got into my bottom three when i might have had a chance with EDII.

i also wish i'd studied more for my math/spanish finals last year. they seriously affected my GPA. :-(

I wish i could have joined in more activities the last few years!!!!
My ECs are so bad compared to EVERYONE here.....

:(

I wish I DID NOT TAKE AS MANY FREAKIN HARD CLASSES.

I know a hard schedule helped, but I wasn't ready for a courseload as rigorous as mine plus my EC's. Getting a 3.7-4.0 taking easy classes would have been SO much better than getting a 3.3-3.4 taking all AP's and AC's.
