If i don't get accepted to my major, am i rejected from the school?

If i don’t get accepted to my major, am i rejected form the school?
So like if i put (Major choice 1), and i don’t get accepted as the major, and they also dont have room for my second major choice, and i now rejected from the school, or do they take me in as undeclared even though thats not one of my choices??

Unfortunately, if you don’t get accepted into your major, you are rejected

i think for davis it’s more specifically the college
(ie college of engineering, letters and science, etc)
but yes. choose your alternate wisely, major is very important!

Hmm. I believe UCD is one the schools that do not hold your major against you in deciding if you’re in or not. My highschool counselor had a big chart. I know UCB, for one, will reject you if you based on your major at times. But if you have solid grades and SATs, don’t worry too much. I know many people who were super lazy and had average grades and got into engineering at UCD. So it’s all good! However, dont have engineering as a fallback. Have a random subject that you have some interest in. I went in as a comp sci major and now I’m switching out to something else. =P

Unfortunately, above poster is wrong. Major is extremely important, and as I said above, you cannot be admitted if you’re rejected from your major.
