If I get rejected, can I re-apply to the same school the following year?

Dumb question, I know...

I was debating whether or not to stay at CC for another year or just apply to transfer in the Fall of 2012 as originally planned.

If I get rejected by certain schools I want to go to, can I stay at CC for another year and re-apply and be reconsidered?

Yes, it you have 60 bucks…

Shoot, I’ll spend ten grand if that means I get to try again every year!

I’m pretty sure that you will eventually get bored by staying at CC before you even consider “trying again”…

Eh, I’ve been at it (CC) for a while now, so I am kind of used to it. ;b

Lol. Anyway, good luck getting in this year. You are one of the most patient guys I have ever met in my life lol. One of my friends just shoot for Cal’s EECS 3 years in a row with GPA ~3.6 and he failed all three times. He ended up dropping out and working for his dad’s shop right now…

Awww, he shouldn’t have given up. Tell him to keep plugging at it!

I haven’t applied anywhere yet; I won’t be able to until Fall 2012.

I hope your friend decides to try again.

Nah, thanks anw. Good luck getting in your dream school in your first shot :D

Your previous UC admission decision will not affect your current application. The only thing I could caution is that you keep your academic record consistent when you apply each year. Students have been busted for concealing coursework and then accidentally revealing them at a later application cycle.

Thanks. I plan to be completely honest each round. Hehehe.

I did this! I was rejected from UCLA Poli Sci with a 3.30…I re-applied the next year with a 3.41 Anthropology and got in =)

Nice work, SMCguy! I am glad you got in the second time! I hope I get in the third time, hahaha. Just kidding. I haven’t applied yet. :|

what can you do with an anthropology major?

Study people? Teach anthropology? :o

oh okay then.

I had a friend who got her BA in Anthropology from CSULB.

She’s a receptionist for a law firm and does notary public stuff. :/

My sister double majored in Visual Anthropology and Fine Arts at USC and she worked as the head designer for a popular children’s company before working for herself.

As long as you intern/research during college and make the right connections you should be able to be successful with any major :)

And to the OP you are definitely able to re-apply the next year without repercussions

Thank you for your input!!

USC - CSU : Big Difference.

I know. Still!
