If I had to do it all over again, I'd.....

a) Done my homework in Pre-Cal. A's on the tests, 85 in the class because of low homework grades.

b) Same as above, not getting early onset Senioritis.

c) Gotten involved in ECs during freshman year instead of sophomore

d) stuck with baseball instead of quitting during 8th grade.

homeschooled

I regret swimming for my high school team my senior year. I should have just stuck with club swimming and concentrated on my college apps instead of going through the team drama!

And I shouldn't have signed up for so many darn IB exams, that I don't even really need! (I signed up for five :()

But I really don't regret anything, because with each experience I gain something new anyway.

There are a lot of regrets here about math.

I wish I would have tried out for Cheerleading this year instead of sitting on my behind all year (Junior year)
I wish I would have Doubled up on Science at some point.
I wish I would've tried harder to get some A+s to bring up my GPA when I really could've easily done that I just didn't realize it at the time.
I wish I would have understood Alg I while I was in it so I would have saved Freshmen GPA.
I wish I would care all year and not have to worry about raising my grades this time of year...
I wish I would study for the SATs
I wish I would take SAT IIs

I wish I would've switched my math teacher when I had the chnace b/c she doesn't teach, and I wish I would've doubled up on science last yr instead of taking theater b/c I was bored all yr.

Practiced taking the SAT in middle school.

It's easy to say that I wish I hadn't used depression as an excuse not to do my best freshman year, I wish I'd taken honors bio, I wish I'd pursued a romantic relationship with that girl, I wish I'd studied more for the Spanish subject test, I wish I'd applied to more schools in NYC and Boston and less in California and Miami.

But then again, if I'd done all those things, maybe I'd regret pushing myself too hard in school when I needed to focus on getting better emotionally, jumping up to honors science too soon after a bad freshman year in other areas, wasting valuable time senior year trying to get a girlfriend instead of focusing on school and college apps, stressing too much over the subject test, and not taking a chance on a few good schools just because they're so far from home. You never know.

Basically, I've really liked high school. These last couple of years have been awesome. I know I've made plenty of mistakes, and I'm sure I'll make more in the last semester, but I'll survive. I'll enjoy what's left of senior year, I'll go to a good college (be it near or far from home), and I'll be just fine.

salamander: now that's what I call a good attitude!

I would have actually made more friends with people in my grade instead of only making friends with older kids who would inevitably leave for college and forget about me.

I also wish I would have taken classes at my local CC for English instead of doing AP English at my school.

Started studying for standardized tests earlier!
