Agriculture, Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Hotel Administration, Human Ecology, or Industrial and Labor Relations? I'm guessing Arts and Sciences because it seems like a pretty general area, but should I pick hotel administration even though I could care less about managing a hotel? Or can I just apply to either?

Yeah don’t go for hotel unless you really want to do it. Their admissions is also very much based on your experiences rather than scores.

Agriculture and Life Sciences, there is a major called Applied Economics and Management. Most competitive major at Cornell with approximately 10% acceptance rate. If you want business, it’s probably what you’re looking for.

^That.

Alternatives would be Econ in Arts & Sciences if you want a more theoretical, broad survey of the field, or Industrial & Labor Relations (Don’t know much about that…)

But yeah, if you’re a soph/junior, I suggest doing some EC’s that are related to business, since the essay question for the Applied Economics & Management major asks you about past experiences that made you pick it.

AEM is probably better if you’re interested in straight-up management as an undergrad. Also, the essay is for CALS, not AEM.
