If I were to take all three of my SAT II's in october...

Would I still be able to apply EA or ED anywhere, assuming that the deadline is November 1? And would it affect my chances in any substantial way?

The reason I'm asking is I didn't really take enough time to prepare for two of my tests, and I think I would do much better if I took them later in the year.

I was wondering the same thing, actually. I've noticed that on a lot of college applications you can fill in that you are planning to take such and such test on such and such date, so that leads me to believe they might wait for your scores. The tests are in early October and the scores usually come out in 2-3 weeks, so you should probably be fine, but I would check with the admissions department(s) of the school(s) to make sure.
I'm sure someone with more knowledge will give you a more definitive answer.

If you've already signed up for and paid for the June tests, why not take them anyway?

You might get lucky.

If you get a score that you consider high enough on a June test, you won't have to study that subject over the summer and you won't need to take that test again.

My daughter took the Math IIC last June just for the heck of it because she was taking another SAT Subject Test that day. She had planned to study for the math test over the summer and retake it in October. But she got a good enough score on the June test so that she didn't have to bother with all that.

It happens.

you could actually retake the subject tests in november and the scores would still be considered. i'm sure i read this on a website, might have been yale or something... but check the website of the college you have chosen for EA or ED, or contact the admission office. just to be sure

Yeah you can still apply ED to almost anywhere, but to be sure most colleges have a testing cutoff date, so you probably want to check that. Princeton, for example, even though the ED application date is nov. 1 says you can take the nov.5 SAT and have it count so I think you're pretty safe, you probably just want to send the scores directly to the college.
