So I haven't taken any subject tests but I also want to retake the SAT because although my composite was pretty good (2250) I got a 670 in math and I want to raise that. Could I take the SAT reasoning in october, apply ED to an ivy league school, take the SAT subjects in November, and then send them late? Or should I do it the other way around.

Be sure to double check that the individual schools accepts the November test scores. Your plan of Sat I in October and SAT II in Nov. sounds good, though.

I would absolutely double check the last accepted testing date with each individual school. If they say they will accept a score from November, ask specifically if you are required to have the score sent automatically (meaning you request the scores be sent to specific schools prior to taking the test as opposed to taking the test, viewing your scores, and then sending your scores manually yourself via collegeboard which takes longer, however you do get to see your scores this way). The drawback in this arrangement is you are sending your scores blindly, however with the timing I don’t know that you have a choice.

For the ivies, most of which have ED, and three of which have EA, Nov SAT II scores are accepted for EA or ED but you need to send them blind, meaning designate the college as one of your free sends so score gets sent immediately upon release. That is true for a lot of EA and ED colleges but you must check each one you are considering because a number don’t take beyond Oct tests for EA or ED.
