If I'm a philosophy major, but a premed....

Would I be able to do biochem research? By the time I get to college (I'm currently a junior), I will have done at least 2 summers in a biochem lab. However, I don't really want to major in science anymore seeing as I will have a pretty good dose of it through premed with maybe an extra biochem course or so (but those probably will not be taken until after I want to start research) and philosophy sounds really interesting.

Throughout my HS years, I've always been interested in science but I'm starting to realize I don't know how to THINK (SAT reasoning test = bad). I had a small dose of philosophy in AP Euro and I really enjoyed it. Do you think my plan of being a philosophy major, premed with some extra biochem classes and research in biochem is feasible?

Sorry, there's no philosophy major board and I thought science majors would be better at answering this anyway.

I have had many non-science majors work in my lab during the academic year and/or during the summer. It is a good way for those with broad interests to explore all of their academic possibilities.

Thank you ParAlum! I was afraid that professors might think I’m unqualified if I’m not a science major. I know from my experience that I don’t need advanced biochem classes to work in a biochem lab, but I was afraid professors may not agree.
