If my tuition is covered by the Global Scholarship, how can I get more to pay living expenses?

Hi there
I will be sitting SAT soon and appyling for Fall 2015 at Drexel. Hopefully I will get the Global Scholarship that will cover my tuition. The total estimated cost of attendance for 2015 is $68,166. Of that, tuition is $44,646 which will leave me with $23,520 to pay. I am from a developing country and I really don't think my parents will be able to afford that.

I remember seeing somewhere that if you get a certain SAT score you qualify for some scholarship or grant at Drexel. That was last year and I cannot remember where I saw it, it was on the website for sure.

Does Drexel give need based grants to International Students and also if I become a RA in my second year, does that take care of room and board?

THANKS!

Check out University of Alabama. It gives automatic full tuiition scholarships to int’l students who meet an SAT & GPA threshold:

<a href=“How to Apply for Financial Aid | Drexel Central”>http://drexel.edu/drexelcentral/finaid/forms/how-to-apply/</a>
There is a section titled “international students” which may be helpful to you.

Also, being an RA does grant you free housing.

Though Drexel does have money that internationals can have, be aware that it doesn’t guarantee to meet full need for ANYONE, international or not, and that need is integrated with merit money. The chances of getting your living expenses are very small. You’d have to be someone Drexel wants so much, it’s willing to pay for you. Really, you expect someone to pay for the roof over your head, the food you eat the wash you do, your shampoo? That 's a bit much unless you have some true benefit over those who are willing and able to pay for the same experience. You have to be so much better, worth the investment. Bear in mind that colleges are looking to manage their costs. So look for a school where you will be a true standout–maybe Drexel is such school.
