"If there is anything that we should know about your school's grading system..."

How many of you are writing something here? I'm a little tempted to note that my school is on a 7 point grading scale, but that's almost definitely covered by the packet of information my school sends out with the transcript.
Then again, this whole page is a repeat of the transcript isn't it? Haha yeah idk, what do you guys think?

Heh. I put that because I was taking a 7th class (that was not offered in honors form, hence 4 points max instead of 5), I noted that the maximum GPA I could earn actually lowered.

Looking back, that was probably completely unnecessary :D

I just wrote that my school doesn’t have weighted grades, and that it’s on block scheduling.

I don’t know how necessary those information are though…

Alright, I guess I’ll just leave it out then? Haha it probably is not going to make much of a difference anyway, I probably have better things to worry about on my app than academics…
Thanks! :)

I’m applying next year (I’m a junior at the moment) and I will definitely be putting something in.

The fact that my teachers were on two year contracts, so when I really started to bond with them, they left. Furthermore, some of my classes at my new school (due to a horrible timing regarding my transcripts) were given credit/grade with ONE midterm/final. Hence a test grade essentially gave me credit for a full course. (Some tests that I didn’t score so well due to the difference in curriculum when I moved schools) The fact that I had to take a set of classes when I was in certain grades, like we have a shortage of teachers so one class is taught per class. Hence you have to have the same classes as everyone else in your grade, unless you were deemed that you “mastered” the material or the teacher knew you to be a “smart kid.” So on my self-reported coursework it looks like I repeated another year of biology. After my first year, my classes jump up a grade in math/history/science.

lmao, my school is so messed up. >< This is not to say that I’ll be blaming “faults” on my school but it does help clarify my transcript and why trends(grades)/classes looks a little funky. But my GC doesn’t want me to report this since it makes our school look bad to MIT/other colleges… sigh

Oh really? Thanks for the info, Handala. I haven’t heard anything, but then again I have a 4 so I’m not sure why I’d even note the 7 point grading scale in the first place. I guess I just don’t want them to think grades are inflated. Hahah xP
