State schools, like Univ. of VA, Penn State, SUNY, etc. give VERY LITTLE financial aid.

go to the schools website and look it up yourself

Why should we have to do that for you?

Now, sue, you need a margarita :)=

Look 'em up-- do a little research. College Board has the info.

Silly me. I thought UVA met full need.

Sue doesn't need a margarita - she's right.

Obviously the OP is a kid, and most of us try to help out because we can't imagine how our own children would navigate this process on their own. However, this particular OP has started the same thread four times. Foolish me answered an earlier thread and actually looked up the financial aid info on USNWR and posted the percent of need met and average need based grant numbers for the schools she'd listed on that thread. Yes, she's added schools to her list, but she should have just updated her earlier post.

Thumper - very funny. I think the person that said UVA doesn't give good financial aid was also a kid who has just always heard that state schools give lousy aid.

UVA is very generous to people who meet their income limit guidelines, I am not up on what that is now, but I helped a kid a few years ago who was OOS there and it was no more net cost than the instate publics were
