State Schools and Financial Aid

Do State Schools (University of Virginia, University of North Carolina, etc.) usually give financial aid to students that are out of state?

Thanks.

Very limited amounts.

UVA is definately the exception. They give excellent financial aid.

UNC is great with financial aid. They meet close to 100% need in grants/scholarships.

UVA offered my son a fantastic financial aid pkg - as good as Yale, Duke and Brown. UNC did not.

great news about UVA – was wondering about them.

so how about the SUNY Binghamton and Winthrop university ? does anyone have some useful information on these school’s aid policies and financial packages towards international students ?

thanks in advance
