I'm trying to stay away from senior slumping, and I want some motivation to keep doing what I'm doing. If I'm waitlisted from Wash U (like almost everyone on CC), and I send them my 3Q, 4Q, Final grades, how much will they benefit me if they're absolutely excellent? (My unweighted GPA is 3.3, which is why I want to know if it will make up for my poor performances earlier (Cs frosh))

How does Wash U select people off the waitlist? Is it true that if you pay $100 you'll be moved to the top of the waitlist (or was that some sick joke that I'm stupid for not catching?)

Don't know about this year but last year they made this big waiting list (including myself) and very few people were selected from it. Fortunately, I was able to go through it by updating them on my records and grades, etc. and I also personally talked to an admission rep since I live in STL, but I know they didn't go through a lot of people. Thinking back from now, I don't even know why I even bothered to go through all that trouble because I ended up not attending the school.
