<p>Let's say I like basketball, so I submit an image of a basketball. Could I just take an image off the internet (google image?), or do I actually have to take the picture to avoid copyright and what not?</p>
<p>^I think you can just take a picture off the internet. The two-dimensional image is just one more way to express yourself. I don’t think anybody at Rice is going to worry about copyright infringement on a google image. Or, if you have any digital pictures of your own, you could upload one of those.</p>
<p>I think taking pictures off the internet for this is considered protected by Fair Use policy.</p>
<p>You should be able to send it any picture. Maybe cite the source somewhere</p>
