If you could change your name...?

for a second i thought you were talking about real names. well i don’t like my user name much. a more creative one i should have used would be:
Haven0fDreams …> sounds heaveny
Wonderwoman…>always wanted to be one
Superwoman…> would do
Serendipity…> why not?

I just looked up a list of historical names and help down the spacebar (page down key) and pointed at one of the names with my eyes closed. Like 30 minutes ago.

This is a official Hijack of this thread.

Hello. How is everyone?

I’m ok:)

How are you?

Good. Last night it snowed about an inch (a little less), so this morning my county had a two hour delay. Then, I stayed after school, so I really didn’t gain any extra out of school time.

Why did you have to stay longer?

It was to do chemistry problems. It was completely optional, but I always go to them.

Ok, do you feel like you benefit from the extra time?

Yes. I learned much today. I don’t know why, but in class I learn little to nothing, but when I stay after school I learn a lot. Maybe it’s because after school we actually do problems, and during class it is easy to doze.

Haha, well you did say that you found afternoon time periods to be more preferable.

Yep. noon+ is good. Before then, I am out of it. I will take this in account during college ; )

Ok:) .

Are you taking AP Chem?? :O

Yes .

awesome!! me too.

we are learning about gas laws - Charles’, Boyle’s, and the like - which are a lot more boring than more chemistry chemistry stuff

I’m in AP Biology:)

Gas laws were done during my summer assignment. At the moment, we are currently doing Kinetics.

we did a thermochemistry type thing, but we’re less than halfway through the book I think

it was all change in enthalpy and stuff

Anyway, it was a very interesting week.

My county is having a $40 million budget cut, or something. They sent an email to every teacher and it was a survey. The survey listed various options that the teacher could pick.

Here were just a few options (worded differently – in a nicer tone L0L):

  1. Go a few months without pay. After all, you are in education for the kids…
  2. Cut 150+ jobs
  3. Remove all sports funding…
    AND SO ON.

One of my teacher mentioned that all the combined options didn’t even total out to be $40 million. L0L.

That aside, many of the teacher are ****ed… not because of the email, but because of students. My Composition teacher has problems with her regular (below level) class. They are obnoxious. She is in a battle with the principle, and as of Wednesday she was like “I am giving up.” She was disscussing what would happen to our daul enrolment class if she were to leave.

My chem teacher stopped someone in the hall and the girl referd to her as “Lady.” Then, my chem teacher asked what is your name. The girl responded, “I don’t need to tell you anything, *****,” and walked off. My chemistry teacher wants to teach college. I hope she does. (Today we had a rant in that class about where society is headed).

That aside, how many teachers will seriously work months for free? Not a good outcome to my county to come?

Thank goodness it is senior year lol.

Wow, that’s unfortunate:/
