To all the potential Cornellians,

You know how there is always talk about cornell being the 'easiest to get into' and the 'hardest to graduate from'. Well, if you get in, how do you think you'll handle the course load?

How much time will or can you devote to the academic/social/athletic life? and how will you balance it out?

I can honestly say, I don't know! :)

What about you?

I don’t really want to think about this, and IMHO you shouldn’t either. If you get rejected (and I hope you don’t), this’ll make you feel pretty bitter inside later.
I remember doing stuff like this for TASP (a very prestigious summer program) and then when I didn’t get in I felt pretty stupid, and it hurt a lot too. I think the best thing to do is disengage after sending the apps, and then once you get accepted you can later decide which college is best for you, which one has the best academic/social/athletic life, etc. Now would probably not be the best time.

I understand what you mean but ‘rejection’ isn’t something the makes ‘me’ feel stupid.

I just don’t think it should make anyone feel stupid; yes, i have been rejected from many programs, and accepted to very selective ones as well but everyone gets rejected sometime in their lives., it’s inevitable.

If things like rejection bother you, then your sorry for diving into the topic. :)
