If you have a chance to attend either Cambridge or Yale, which uni would you go?

beat out Yale if we go by the [Academic Ranking of World Universities](http://www.arwu.org) rankings. The 2008 rankings ranks Cambridge at # 4 and Yale at # 11.

IBClass06, what is the British version of CC? It looks like something interesting to check out ;)

I wouldn’t dare to say that Yale is a better institution than Cambridge, much less “unequestionably” so.

cryingcloud, I sent you a PM. Actually, thanks for reminding me. I might start an equivalent thread over there for comparison purposes.

Cambridge- 9
Yale- 9

I had to make this decision and I chose Cambridge. (And if it matters I’m American)

Yale. Truckloads (literally!) get into Oxbridge from my school every year but only a handful get into Yale - this says something about the selectivity of both schools. Also, with Yale’s much larger endowment, it has the financial muscle to attract better students and faculty. For example, for an international student admitted to both school, he/she will probably attend Yale because there’s no way he/she can afford Cambridge. Both are fantastic schools though.

i am having the same problem: yale versus cambridge. After extensive research and college visits… i say cambridge. whats your field?
if its math or science, cambridge alllll the way.
