I am interested in concentrating in film studies or physical anthropology. I know my credentials aren’t exactly stellar, but I am thinking of applying to Brown “just to see”. Do you think it is even worth the application fee?

Thank You!

What's your school's API?

Class rank? Are you Asian?

Many of these schools are packed tight with Asian students....you look like you have a good chance. What is your UW GPA?

Everyone has a sugar-coated GPA, but schools want to know just how rigorous your courses were. Some students have 4.4 UW GPA, which shows they don't rely on B or C ap testing.

Also, most of these schools have enough overachievers. How strong do you think your personal statement is going to be? Recommendations? I had a friend who didn't do much for E.C or grades but got in supposedly on his superb essay.

Remember, they want students who make THEIR school improve. They can fill up the freshman class with 800 SAT scores and 5.0+ GPA'S 10 times over.
