of the United States, what would you do?
You know his powers and limitations, so let's see your agendas!

My plan: Revamp the US Education System
Stricter penal system.

the various duties of the job

I would like to turn this country into Scandinavia part 2.

I would resign. I don’t believe that I could cope with the conditions and responsibility oriented around that job.

^100% agree.

When the term is over, you will see Obama having white hair.

I’d quit, and enjoy the retirement benefits.

But if that wasn’t an option… I’d switch all those executive orders back to pro-life, and use my veto power until congress hated me.

War’s over boys! You’re comin home!

I’m with Warts.

But before I left, I’d try to repeal a LOT of things. DOMA, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, get us out of Iraq (Afghanistan, I’m iffy about), push Congress to give me an equal rights amendment for the LGBT community, get rid of the funding for abstinence-only education, push for severe penalties on those who outsource, try to decrease military spending dramatically and push that money into schools and community building projects, I think you get my point.

There is very little the President can actually do, but I too would use veto power until the cows came home and executive orders like nobody’s business.

LMAO@ TCBH’s last post.

correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn’t that take a whole term?

I didn’t say I’d retire right away.

I guess I should have worded it better. What I meant to say was “If I didn’t leave”.

Sorry, long day. Climbing 3 miles up a mountain in 90+ degree heat and 90% humidity takes a lot out of you :p.

^That sounds painful.

^ You have no idea. I never want to do it again.

Tomorrow, I’m climbing a 1/4 - 1/2 mile up a volcano. I think I can deal with that lol.

lol that soungs fun.

I’d re-establish Domestic Policy.

Let the world screw themselves over.
JK

^^but did you enjoy the mountainous scenery as you climb the 3 miles?

I would acquire The College Board
I would legalize marijuana
I would lower the minimum wage
I would legalize same-sex marriages
I would privatize social security
I would encourage legal immigration
I would make gun laws more strict
I would fund embryonic stem cell research

^ I forgot about so many of those. I agree with almost everything frantic said except number 1, 3 (the minimum wage is not livable as it is right now), and 5.

^^@ jerrry, yes. I got awesome pictures :). Still sucked though lol.

^^Doesn’t the Senate formulate the laws?

^ Yes. That is why I said “push” unlike most everyone else (you’d be surprised at how many people think that the president can make permanent laws just like that snaps fingers).

People are unaware of the powers of the President. To be honest, Congress, more importantly the Senate, have a large load of power.

^ It’s funny. I’m down in Costa Rica and my host family knows more about the American political system than 90% of people I’ve met in the states.
It’s sad really.
