<p>Yes, but these are all "lottery" schools. Be sure to select a true safety (one you will get into based on your stats and that you can pay for without aid other than federal need-based aid), and some other decent schools where you probably will get in and probably will get aid if you need it. Remember there are just scads of opportunities for you considering that there are something like 3,000 colleges and universities in the US.</p>

<p>Do yourself, and your parents, a big favor, and read the sticky threads in the financial aid forum. Don't be like so many kids here at cc with "perfect" stats and broken hearts because they found out on May 15 that they can't afford the "dream" school that had admitted them.</p>

<p>You definitely have a shot at JHU and Georgetown. Who says highly prestigious and competitive institutions limit their pool of people they accept to only high SAT scoring, high GPA scoring, and high everything?</p>

<p>In fact, it may be looked favorably upon that you have an upward trend in hs in addition to the fact that you are a first generation college person, Great schools look forward to that.</p>
