<p>Well the title says it all basically...I heard that if you dont have so high verbal test scores on SAT but higher math scores that they will overlook those bad verbal grades b/c they don't really care about those. Is it the same for the ACT? Do you have to take the writing test to get into the engineering school at UM?

<p>Yes. UofM requires anyone applying to any of their individual schools to take the writing portion of the ACT test.</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure that Engineering considers your writing scores, but not to the extent that LSA would.</p>
<p>Your info thingy says you're from Germany, so if English is a second language for you they'll definitely be lenient as far as verbal/writing scores on standardized tests.</p>
