If you're caught lying on your app...

does the school that caught you contact all of the other schools that you applied to?

My friends and I (we live in Texas) are well into the top 8% of our class, and are looking to go to UT Austin. But just for ****s and giggles, we are thinking about applying to HYPSM using completely falsified applications that make us look like gods. Even if we did get accepted to HYPSM with our joke apps, we wouldn't enroll to them because UT's tuition is super cheap for us.

Now if HYPSM were to catch us in lying, would they contact UT and tell them to reject us?

This sounds like a really stupid idea. Don’t do this.

If you use the same email, they will 100% contact UT. If not, they’ll probably still find out - and what if your joke apps took a real kid’s spot at one of these schools.

Anyway, you would be missing a lot of requirements from your application.

You and your friends seem easily amused.

Three words: Adam Wheeler, Harvard.
Falsifying the GC reports, transcripts and LoRs, too?
■■■■■?

■■■■■…■■■■■…■■■■■.

Umm I’m not trolling.

Certainly not. You just created a user name so you could post an inane yet provocative question, that’s all.

Exactly. This site is my home page, I usually just go on the search bar when I need questions answered but no one asked this one so I made an account. You sound like the kind of person that thinks the moon landing was faked.

Not at all! I sound like the kind of person who doesn’t believe that somebody in Nigeria needs my help smuggling cash out of the country.

Sent from my DROIDX using CC App

Use a different name haha

If you are in top 8% and can get into UT, you still need to fake your resume to apply to HYPSM? Is that really a dumb school?

Don’t do it. That would be DEEPLY unethical . And if you don’t care about that , then please think about whomever that you’ll be taking his place if in case you got accepted

How were you planning to falsify your SAT/AP score report from the College Board? Or your official high school transcript? Your chances of getting accepted without those would be pretty low even if your fake app made you look like gods.

The adcoms a at HYPSM have enough to do without dealing with dumb practical jokes from children who have more spare time than brains.

Regardless of OP’s status – the question stands.

Answer – this would be a REALLY STUPID thing to do.
