IGETC by beginning or end of Spring?

transfer student here. I'm a a little confused, is IGETC supposed to be done before Spring, or the end of Spring? I'll be applying later this year, for Fall 2015 admission at UCLA. My IGETC and "most" of my major reqs will be done by the end of next Spring. Is that ok? The only major req I will not have is an intermediate foreign language course, hoping they will let me slide there. But all IGETC will be completed by the end of next Spring. Thoughts?

Also, if I'm applying this coming November for next year, how do they see all the Fall grades and Spring grades in 2014? Don't they want to take those into consideration? or do I keep them updated in some on line form for them?

In case you need it:

3.9gpa, 4.0(major), Comp Lit major. UCLA or bust.

It’s by the end of spring.

And they’ll see your fall grades and spring schedule when you update your application in January.

@cayton
Excellent. Do they wait to see how those Spring grades turn out? There will be major classes for me that Spring.

If they offer you admission, they’ll give you a provisional admissions contract to abide by. The contract will usually state what minimum semester GPA to maintain as well as what overall GPA to maintain and other things like that.

Completing your last major courses in spring shouldn’t be a problem.

@Cayton‌ Thanks so much for your help. I’m a little concerned because I will only have Spanish 1 and 2 done by the end of Spring for my foreign language major requirements, however under the complit major it sates, “Students must demonstrate one year proficiency in a foreign language, however, completion of two years of a foreign language are highly recommended as major preparation for upper division coursework.”

Do you think I’m in trouble here? It’s just so vague.

You’re right. That is vague.

I don’t know too much about that particular major’s requirements. I suggest consulting with a UCLA representative regarding this issue.

Alternatively, you could just wait for other posters on this forum to answer your question. I’m sure they know something. In fact, you should do both if possible. It’s best to confirm something with multiple sources.
