Your CCC will certify your transcript IF you request it and of course fulfilled IGETC.

I forgot to check the igetc box when i ask them to send my transcript, do i need to send another one with the igetc box checked?

does CC just certified it for you? and i attened 2 ccs so how can i certified my igetc?

Yup, I’m pretty sure you do. You could call and ask your UC just to see if it somehow got certified anyway just to make sure, but highly doubt it.

Oh, and make sure that if you are using courses from another CCC that you have transferred your info to the CCC certifying you and that everything matches up.

The UCs have nothing to do with IGETC certification, which is certified by your cc and only verified by the UC when they check your transcripts after you SIR. What you need to do is send your official transcripts from one CC over to either counseling or admissions and records (ask first to see what department handles it) of the other and they will review the transcript and certify your IGETC for you. Then at the time you go to request your transcripts to be sent to the UC you SIR’d to make sure you request to send your IGETC certification from the CC that has reviewed both transcripts. Also be sure to send your official transcript from the other CC, so you’ll still have to send two official transcripts. The one CC that has a copy of both cannot send your official transcript for the other even though they have record of it.

I attended four different CCs and had courses from three the I needed for IGETC certification and had no problems. Just be sure the courses on ASSIST satisfy each of the separate categories for IGETC.

is it late to send another transcript with igetc certified? does it matter to have it before orientation? I have already had my orientation.

It’s not too late or anything, no. You had the same classes and grades on your transcript, just no IGETC certification. Don’t worry, all you have to do is send another transcript with IGETC certification on it. But like I said, just remember to make sure that all of your transcripts from other CCCs have been given to the CCC certifying you for IGETC, so that they see that you took all of the necessary classes to fulfill it.
