igetc certification

I'm currently attending two community colleges right now at the same time, PCC and ELAC. I'm pretty much juggling between both igetc lists, taking classes from both schools. So my question is, which school will certify me? The one I attended last?

I'd like to know this too, as I'm going to one community college during my senior year in high school and another after I graduate. I do think it might be the one you attended last. You would just need to show them your transcripts from the other CC.

I took classes from 7 different community colleges so I know how confusing this may seem.

Your inclination is correct, you do get IGETC certified from the last school you attend.

I would recommend sending your transcripts to one school at the end of each quarter/semester to get them updated and so that you can see your progress on IGETC certification/how credit gets applied. It will likely put your mind at ease and it will avoid any surprises that you do not want to encounter after you think your all done.

It really isn't much of a problem though, it usually works fine. Just make sure you keep tabs on how credit is being applied.

Good luck.
