IGETC certification to UCLA

Just wondering why UCLA needs an IGETC certificate to generate a DPR if they already have my transcript? Can't they just compute it all like I did? I just became aware of this "certificate" that needs to be sent to UCLA....

Ya you have to have your CC certify you completed IGETC so UCLA can exempt you from the GE’s

Are we supposed to send our igetc certification to the same address as transcripts? Does anyone know?

UCLA Undergraduate Admissions
and Relations with Schools

Los Angeles, CA 90095-1436

Ya that’s the address you send it too. I suggest you do it asap. Also, the igetc certification is need for students who have taken a foreign language in high school.

This is going to be EXTREMELY painful considering I’ve been to more than one CC.

^ Can’t you just send all your transcripts from the other CCs to your current CC? Don’t they take them and like, compute and transfer those into CC?

I’m also wondering about this. How does this work?

^ thats precisely the point. some schools tend to send them out faster, while others take their sweet ass time. one school can jack up the entire process…
