IGETC recommendations

Looking to see what courses CC chose to fulfill their IGETC reqs.
Since I'm aiming for Comp Sci and Economics, I'm mostly interested in what classes you took for the Arts and Humanities area.
Just taking a quick glance at the courses offered at my JC, I'm thinking I might take a music history class and two philo classes. Here I'm just looking for an easy A. I understand that course rigor vary at different CCCs, but again, I'm just looking for opinions.

What about for the 5B biological sciences? I'm thinking General Bio would make for an easy A.

Lastly, what do you think of my first semester schedule?
This isn't set in stone yet (haven't registered yet :/):

Honors English Critical Reasoning and Writing (ENGL 103H) - Looking at RMF, this might be a tough class.
Honors Econ Micro
Calculus I
(Arts and Humanities class)

I definitely need to get rid of Calc and English asap so that's two hard classes. I don't know how difficult Econ will be, not many RMF comments on that teacher. It's possible I might not even be able to get into that class, I'm on a waitlist atm.

Going to draft a 2-year plan by the end of tonight. Will post when done.

P.S. I'm probably asking a lot of basic questions on this board atm but this will pass as I'm trying my hardest to make sure my first semester results in a 4.0. After I get a feel of the JC study habits, I'll lay low. Thanks for reading.

Well, some of my courses (History, a Science, Eng 100, etc.) were covered by AP test scores. As for my other classes, I took Calc and the high english class (probably very similar to what you are going to take), psychology, and an art class (both 100) my first semester. I did okay, though I realized calculus and I are not compatible. For second semester, I did stats, developmental psych, bio + lab, phil, and speech 100 (just in case I go to a CSU, though I sure as heck hope not :/). Second semester I was able to acheive a 4.0. Going into my third semester, I’m taking research methods & physiological & social psych (bahah, I’m a psych major, can’t you tell? x]), cultural anth, and poli sci.

Considering you’re on CC, I’m assuming you’re a pretty good student, so your courseload seems fine for the first semester. Once you get the feel for it, try and take an additional class in the Spring. For you arts/humanities class, I would suggest picking a relatively easy (but still fun!) class, so it is different from your other classes and boosts your GPA.
Idk your status regarding ECs, but maybe poke around some that interest you, attend an event or two, and join for real in the Spring semester.

You can PM me if you would like.
