<p>I am currently doing CSE(B.Tech) in IIT(BHU) Varanasi and want to explore my options of getting transferred into a college in the US. The reason for this is that I am not completely sure about what field of academics i want to pursue and that colleges in the US are really better when our overall developement is concerned. My credentials-</p>
<p>X CGPA - 9.8
XII - 91%
IITJEE all india rank between 1100 - 1200
AIEEE rank less than 500</p>
<p>I have neither given SAT exams yet and nor have shortlisted the colleges I want to apply to.
I had average participation in extra curriculars in my school.
I have won various prizes in quizzes,
Have topped my class in XI and XII,
Participated in an international competition organized by NASA in class X which included a trip to the USA
Also participated in many national level olympiads anad acquired good state ranks.</p>
<p>I want to ask you about my chances of getting a TRANSFER to a good US instituition and what all things I need to do.
Please also tell me about the scope of other options like dropping one year and then preparing for SATs, APs.</p>
