<p>I had one consistent class through high school that killed me with B's and B-'s for three years.. will this really hurt me or will my SAT kind of save me?</p>

Canadian (Duel citizen)/ Iranian Girl</p>

<p>Essay: I really like my supplements and my common app essay, both very genuine and realistic, funny
Recs: Didn't read counselor or one teacher but I liked the one teacher one I read- I'm sure their good they love me</p>

<p>Previous classes: All honors (English, Precalc, Spanish, Chem, etc.), Photography and AP Bio junior year
Senior year classes: Honors english, AP Government, AP Environmental Science, Honors Physics, Honors Calculus </p>

<p>ECs:
-Co-Founder of my high school's Science Honors Society 11 & 12 grade (talked about this in the CommApp short answer)
-Head photographer/photo manager for school yearbook, 9-12
-Relay for Life Team Captain 9-12 (captain in 11 and 12)
-Key Club member 9-11
-Tutoring at local elementary school 9 & 10
-JV Ice Girl's Hockey 11
-Leadership trainee (similar to a Counselor in Training) at my camp for my entire senior summer, acted a mentor to younger kids
-Won some awards for photography local and state</p>

<p>Work:
-Photographer's Assistant 11-12 (10 hours a week)
-Lab Assistant at school to AP Bio teacher 12</p>

<p>I've already been accepted to Fordham and Northeastern (with scholarship).</p>

<p>Your SATs all seem within range and you’re very involved (you should send in some of your photography stuff), and it’s certainly not like your grades are horrible. Holistically, I think you make for a very competitive applicant, especially if you come through in your essays. Good luck!</p>

<p>Your SAT’s are excellent for the schools you’re applying to. GPA might hurt you a little at NYU, but your EC’s show interest and variety. Overall, you should be in at all the schools on your list. Good Luck!</p>

<p>Your SAT is pretty good- over a 2000! SATIIs are decent too, good score on the Bio. Your work experience sounds very interesting- its diverse. You have something bio-related and then something artsy (the photography sounds really cool :slight_smile: ). Your ECs are good too, diverse, show commitment. Nicely done. With strong Essays and Rec’s, this is my chance for you.</p>

<p>thank you all for the chances… but I’m a little confused at Brandeis being a match/in from some of you? I considered it my reach more than NYU.
unless this year they seem to be much more lenient on admission? because as far as I know they are a competitive research university. :/</p>

<p>Well I’m not familiar at all with Brandais, but Boston university looks quite promising. Your grades are good (at least to get in), so are all of your SATs for here. I would suggest you get more than the required amount of recomendation letters (if still possible). </p>

<p>So here you go:
Brandeis - I dunno not familiar at all with it
NYU - Very Good 70-80%
BU - Good 65%-75%</p>

<p>Boston U - IN, had friends with much lower stats who got in, and they did ED which is more competitive to get in </p>

<p>NYU - Low Reach, SATs are in range, and even if those B’s are consistent but it is only in that one class, your a High Match</p>
