so my question is how much schools with consider my freshman grades?

They will take them with a grain of salt, because your overall GPA is more important. And it's also good to have a rising trend - as in having good grades junior and senior year, regardless of past performance.

I am kind of concerned about my ECs. From looking at everyone else's ECs, mine are quite sad. I am editor of the Yearbook(well, not yet... but will be Junior and Senior year), Secretary of Key Club, member of Career Technical Education Honors Society, plan on being in FBLA and getting inducted into National Honors Society. I obviously have a lack of ECs compared to others here. Also, I have a job at Kerr Drug as a Pharmacy Technician (working anywhere from 15 to 35 hours a week). I feel that this should help since I am planning on majoring in Pharmacology. Do you think that my ECs are sufficient enough? Do I need to join other clubs? I really don't think I should because I don't want to appear to have a "laundry list".

Academically wise, I have a 3.8 UW GPA and a 4.021 W GPA. This should raise a lot by the end of this year. I am ranked at 13 out of 148 students. Again, this should raise a lot also. I yet to take the SAT; I am taking it in May. I should have 9 to 10 AP classes by the time of graduation.

Moreover, do you think that there is any way (or even if I should) to include something about how I will have many more credits than anyone in my class. I attend a Web Academy (I take classes online at night in addition to regular school) and so far have taken 2 classes, and plan on taking a few over the summer. I plan on taking 2 during the school year of my Junior year and a few over the summer of that year. The typical honors graduate at my school graduates with 32 credits. I will end up with somewhere around 40. More than likely that is the normal for everyone here, so it probably would not even help to add anything about that. However, I would like your input.

It would be very helpful if you would answer the above questions. Also, please give me any tips or advice that may be helpful.

Thanks, but standardized tests are one of my largest weaknesses. I do absolutely horrible on them. I am trying to work on my Writing and CR scores. I know very little vocabulary and it hurts me a great deal in the sentence completions. But, oh well.

I'd love to hear more advice for transfer students... especially if you have any recommendations for non-traditional transfer students. I took 4 years off academics to start a company, and after some success and failure, I decided to return to community college, get an AA, but ultimately want to transfer to earn a degree.

My first run at community college (directly out of high school), was pretty rough. However, since I have returned, I have earned all As. I am totally motivated (shown in my recent grades), have a huge drive, am very interested in the major, have "past experience" to offer, yada yada yada.

Diverse EC's aren't really there... All time was spent (and is still spent) at work. Though, I plan on focusing ONLY on school when I transfer.

The essays are killing me. Are there things I should stay away from, or emphasize more?

this is off topic, but i am looking for the thread to the funny/classic essay written maybe 10 years ago that exaggerates his accomplishments. i saw it months ago on CC, lost the printed copy and hope someone can find it for me. thanks!
