I know of a theater company that has never paid for the rights to a show, but never gets caught. The shows they have done in the past are: Wicked, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cinderella, and now they are having auditions for Cats. I have contacted the owners of the rights to each show as they do them, but they never do anything. Is there anything else I can legally do? .

The owners have the right to pursue or not, since they are the ones losing out on the money. If you feel strongly about this sort of things as you seem, you can research what the governing body of copyrights is, and let them know too.

theaterbrat, what theatre company is it? I'm curious who you've contacted. The rights to Cinderella, for instance, are licensed by MTI, and I know for a fact that MTI does pursue action when this happens. Rocky Horror is controlled by Samuel French. The rights to Wicked, as I'm sure you know, are not available to anyone, period. It's frustrating when theatre companies do this, in addition to being unethical and illegal. I'm not sure what else you can do but I will say that the theatre community is a small one and word of mouth can work wonders.
