Illinois School of Business Finance Program

Hi, I have a question. I hope to go to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and go into their business school. I know that their accounting program is highly regarded and one of the top undergrad programs in the nation. But, is their finance program still highly regarded and heavily recruited? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

bump!!!

Bump…come on doesn’t anyone have any info. on this…or even just personal opinions would be great!

I am not a fin major but the people I know in it say it’s very good. If you work hard and do well in the curriculum you will definitely get a job, depending also on what path you take. there is a very broad range of jobs you can get with a fin degree, and although business career fairs are always packed with accounting firms, most of the major banks and financial consulting firms are showing up too, they are just a little quieter in their recruiting.

if you are considering studying business at all and you are interested in illinois you should definitely come. you have until the end of sophomore year to decide on your major, and all of the majors have high achieving graduates. plus its just a great university.

Thanks for the reply Jax. I already applied and it is my number 1 choice by far. Are you an Illinois business student yourself? If so, i would like to pm you some additional questions if that is alright. Let me know. Thanks
