@Theundertaken for the problem that asked “why do they need to feed quickly?” The answer is that the algae lasts for a short time and is very thin. I am quite sure of that.

@Collegebound, the teeth latched it down while the beak picked. And the disc was analagous to lips.

Oh how bout on the frog one, it said when the frog is about to break through the water, what is the disc like? i said “it is unfolded and flush against the water”?

Yes I said it is unfolded and flush. The question was how is the disc when it takes a breath. I remember it saying that the disk was 180 degree wide and opened up to the water in that manner.

For the “trick” that the tadpoles do question, was that the frog is able to overcome the surface tension of water? I was between that and “it can turn it’s beak” (not because it was necessarily right but because I couldn’t prove it incorrect) or something.

Yes Ricky i believe it was that it was able to overcome the surface tension of water

^What were the other answer choices to that one? I do not remember it at all. Was that question possibly #35?

on the english passage about Chinese photographer there were two im not positive on.

The sentence about the cab driver (was the answer something like ‘just doing a normal job’?)

Also the last question on that passage asked you to find a concluding sentence i think was it like “he changed others’ perspectives about what normal life is”?

Yes Timex, I got both of those.

I did, too.

What’d you guys put as your reasons (pro or con?) for the writing? People are saying they prayed for an easy one like this but I didn’t feel so good about it; I didn’t think it was up to par as I usually scored b/w 9-11 on practice

Another question about the chinese photographer. it said right after the taxi driver part…“This vary ordinary…” Should it have been “This very ordinariness” or just “this ordinary…”?

I said “This very ordinariness” I felt like I was wrong, though… lol.

haha i said that also. both choices sounded horrible but ordinariness sounded like it might have been a bit better

What do you guys believe -5 on English would end up being?

-5 should be around a 31 or 32 if the curve is good.

The most important question wasn’t answered! When can I see these results? Does it have to be through mail 5-8 WEEKS FROM NOW?!

Hmm, I think that English, Reading, and Science were all worse for me, but Maths felt better. I would also like to know if we can check our scores online or if we have to wait for the paper copy. Thanks. :)

My proctor said that in 4-8 weeks after ACT receives our tests, the scores will be sent to our houses. I would guess that ACT gets scores next week or so, meaning that we probably won’t get scores until late May at the earliest. Can any seniors confirm?

What did you guys get for the last lighthouse question, where the ship is approaching and has to go a certain distance before getting hit by the light again?

I’m in CO. Are the curves the same for CO and IL since the test apparently is?

I felt that all of the sections were REALLY easy, except for the science section… I normally only get 2 or 3 wrong, but on this one I went a little too slowly… Had to guess on several of them…How do you guys think the curve will end up being? Also, I guessed A for the 2nd to last and 3rd to last (I ran out of time…)… does anyone remember putting any of those. Does anyone remember some of the questions about the red dye? Thanks! If I can some how pull out a 28-30 on science, I should be able to get atleast a 32ish!!

was this one of the correct answers? “The greek philosopher Plato…” (This was on the English section, i didn’t use commas before/after plato)
