Does IWU cut students after a certain point or do students have to audition each year?

They do not cut or re-audtion. Once you are in, you are in :-)

If you go to the beginning of this thread and read through, there is a lot of information that may answer some questions you have.

I just wanted to mention some more awesome alums making it big from IWU. Bryonha Parham will be on Broadway in Porgy and Bess with Audra McDonald and Norm Lewis, Lisa Karlin is now in The Addams Family Musical, Casey Erin Clark is on the National Tour of Les Miserables and Evan Kasprzak is in Newsies at Papermill Playhouse and hopefully headed to Broadway as well with this show.

Also IWU will have a senior showcase in Chicago this spring. Many prospective families have requested this and IWU is listening.

We are looking forward to this year’s auditions and hope to see many of you there.

Wondering is the BFA MT admissions criteria / auditions are any different for transfer students. Especially wondering if being a transfer student would hurt my chances of being admitted into the program.

Wondering if it is possible to minor in another subject as a BFA MT major and, if so, how difficult this would be? Do most BFA MT students use maymester to take courses outside the major or are courses for the major offered? Also, do abroad semesters count toward fulfilling MT requirements?
