Hello everyone!

So, I had previously posted a topic on Creative Writing majors. I am also tossing around the idea of majoring in Illustration (and possibly minoring in Creative Writing/English if it is offered. I just find that my heart is more set on Illustration and it has been a love of mine for much longer). Anyway, I was wondering if you could tell me some colleges that typically have strong programs for such.

Also, I live in the New England area but am interested in possibly going out west. If that is the case then on-campus housing MUST be an option. Also, it would be great if they had it in the colleges over on the East coast as well.

Thank you!

Pratt is the one came to mind, don’t know how doubling works, though.

My D is interested in exactly the same combination. New Hampshire Institute of Art has an illustration with a newly added creative writing minor. She did pre-college there last summer and loved it. The other 2 schools she applied (and was accepted at) was Kansas City Art Institute which has a Creative Writing major with a studio art minor, but not the other way around - which I don’t understand. Minneapolis College has illustration and writing classes as well. I know the last 2 are in the midwest, but thought I’d throw them out there. When we went to visit KC, we met the dept head of the liberal arts (where the writing falls under) and she was absolutely fantastic. I think she’s going to choose Minn, but if we could steal that writing teacher, it would be perfect!
