Has anyone heard back yet in New York City? Or New York at large for that matter?

from what i am see only one person from NY got in to ILR. The person who is from Long Island. I too would like to know if others from NY received acceptances yesterday?

Anyone hear back from PA?

Jesskcoleman are you thinking that these acceptances are more specific to out of NY state residents? I am thinking this as well, but there was I believe only one from Long Island New York. Most were from NJ, CT, CA, PA, TN. Do you think they have to fill some type of quota for out of state people since this is a NY State contract school???

There is a quota for instate people, seeing how this is a state school.

Yeah they take a LOT of instaters.

The percentage of students from New York State in the contract colleges has steadily declined through the years. For the class of 2015, 42% of ILR enrollees were from NY. Many New Yorkers apply to the contract colleges as they pay lower tuition, but there is no quota.

How do you know this for fact behappy7? That would seem illegal for Cornell to do? I would assume they would have to take a certain amount of NY students do to the fact it is a NY State contract school.

My assuption is that the contract colleges are such an attractive option for New Yorkers, that they don’t need quotas to have a signicant student presence from NY.
