I'm a bit confused here...

So I took Statistics at a local community college a couple years ago. I talked to the math department chair before this and he told me it was highly unlikely that stats would be taught at my school(highest math class is ap calc b.c) and that I should take it.

So, this year Ap stats will be offered. My counselor told me that I would receive ap credit for the college course and would not for taking the class again at my high school.

Will colleges wonder why I didn't take Ap stats at my high school since when they get my school profile it'll now say that they offer it? Or will it include the date of when they offered it? Should my counselor just write a note or something? Thanks.

Ask to see your HS profile, if it doesn’t state when it started being offered, ask your GC to make a note about it on the SSR. It won’t be a problem.

dw about it, you can either explain in the additional section of the common app, or just ignore it fully. As long as you took the class, colleges won’t care where. Everyone has a boatload of reasons for taking class outside their school (schedule conflict, dropping due to medical problem, etc.)

Ok thanks =D

List Stats at CC somewhere on your app. You’ll be fine.
