If a college accepts January tests, is it fine if i choose the colleges as a free recipient?? or is there some special way i need to go about sending a score report?

Yes, it’s perfectly okay to use the free score reporting College Board offers. You have all the time before the test and a week after the test to do so. It saves you close to $50, and there is little you need to do. If you don’t use the free reporting, then you have to find the SAT school code from each university, order each report for each school and pay for them. The process isn’t hard, it just costs money, which you could be saving if you register with the free reporting. This is only if you are sure you want the school to see your score and the schools are the schools you are applying to, for certain.

I don’t understand why the tests are so costly

^ Part of your order goes to paying proctors, the materials for the test and the agency, in order to keep the test running.

i’m so sorry i wasn’t clearer and made you type that elaborate post, nmcm007!!

is this better?
the school’s application deadline is the 1st of january. the school accepts january tests. do i have to send the score report by the application deadline, or can i use one of my free score reports? also, if the school requires both the sat reasoning test and subject tests, and i have not already sent my scores from previous tests, can i send all the scores in a single score report?

again sorry!
and thanks to any future posters!

bump…

any body know if USC accepts Jan ACT?

I don’t know if you can send the schools that accept Jan test later
but what I know is that if you send a score
it automatically sends all the scores from before (eg oct, nov)

i apologize for this bump :/
