I'm a former UCR student, can I come back?

I left for employment reasons, and now that's taken care of and I'd like to come back. My GPA was about 1.6 when I left and I have 6 credits so far from UCR. Yeah, that's not a lot, I know. I failed one class while I was there.

However I have managed to get 6 credits from a community college while I was away, and my cumulative GPA is now a 2.25.

As far as I know, I have to be in "good standing" in order to come back. Good standing is a 2.00 GPA. Since my GPA is over that, can I come back? I tried asking Academic Affairs but I received no responses.

They should be back in business tomorrow since closing for Winter break, try to reach someone again this week.

I would say that they would take you back on academic probation and see how you do in the classes you take. Use Rate Your Professor when searching for classes to get back in the swing of college classes again. Good luck!

I see. I kind of thought that they wouldn’t take me back, even after I withdrew from two quarters of the three I’ve been in due to health reasons.
