So I screwed up big time in Math...I'm getting a C this semester

however, I am maintaining the same grades as before in everything else:

Last semester: 3.71 This semester: 3.57

will Maryland really take back my admission because of a C in math (I had a B last semester)?

Thanks!

Um, no. Lol I don't know why you're worried. There's no way they'd take it back because of one letter grade drop.

well my friend told me of his brother's friend who applied to John Hopkins, mostly got As, failed AP Calc 4th quarter (he had an A 3rd), and was denied admission.

Also my parents are making a big deal out of it, lol.

lol UMD isn't John Hopkins don't worry.

lol a 3.57 and getting your admission recinded. If that is higher than your total average GPA they will think that is a plus. They don't really care for the difference in first and second semester I ASSUME because they haven't even seen first semester for most people, however I did send mine in, so they are not going to punish you because you did really well first semester, also I think they will look at all of your senior grades because, like I said, they haven't even seen your first semester yet. Yeah, its a 3.57, i didn't have a 3.57 one semester of HS, damn that actually makes me a little depressed. I have had a 3.56 4 times though...

they have seen my first semester grades, lol

ok ok ok I get the point, lol.

(and for the record, my average GPA (cum) is like a 3.24)
