Somebody told me that they give free football season passes to new students. I'm a transfer, by the way. Is this accurate? Are there a limited number of them? What do I need to take advantage of this?
If they're not free, I'm still going to buy a season pass. I seriously cannot wait to go to my first Cal game. Oh, man.
Cannot. Freaking. WAIT!!!

Since I was accepted, I can’t count the number of times that I’ve watched “The Play”

Seriously, So, So, So excited. And I don’t care if I have to take BART to AT&T Park next year. It’s a no-brainer.

Just so you know, the home games will be @ AT&T Park. They’re renovating Memorial stadium this year.

I looked a little bit more, and it looks like it’s only for the first few home games?
Does anyone know about this?

All 5 home games (and +1 at Candlestick, where the 49ers play).

I don’t think they give free ticket to new students, unless there was some big rule that changed. Where did you hear this? They are giving free limited BART (tram) tickets along with the season pass though.

It looks like the free tickets for new students is something that they used to do. I don’t think that they do it any more, at least I can’t find anything about it for this year; however, they do reserve a limited number of tickets for new students. I plan on getting mine literally the minute that they go on sale.

I think the incoming class of 2012 (i.e. those who graduated HS in 2008) was the last year they did this – haven’t done it for the last 2 years anyway.

Since Memorial Stadium is being renovated, it’s at AT&T park in SF. The student seating there is still pretty good, but not on the 50 yard line like it was at Memorial Stadium.

You could take the BART there – I think they’re still working it out on getting free transport for the games – either using the Class Pass transit for BART or some other deal.

The booth thing at CalSO that was giving information about tickets told me that transportation would be free and season tickets are $100 and available July 27th.
