Anglepower, yes, you have it right. I understand your concern, since your mom is in a vulnerable position. All I can say is that I’ve known many students in your situation who have followed this course of action and I haven’t known anyone whose parent has been adversely affected. I’ve heard the same from others.

I know exactly what you are going through the same is happening to me. I graduated high school 2010 and because of my problem I have only been able to take 1 semester during summer when I had to apply again for the Fasfa and they had me go in to do paper work then they would say okay I will send it and then they wanted proof and then they wanted more papers sign next thing you know its been four months its so hard I know if you want message me and we can go through it maybe you know something I don’t and I now something you don’t i also want to go into the medical field. The only difference is I have both parents which try to help but really cant do much and my grandfather and grandmother from dads side are citizens and my father had filed for citizenship 5 years ago Im still not attending school

Hello, am having the same problem but now I have to give tax return paper, but since my mom isn’t form here she doesn’t file taxes, so would the college i apply to, be able to wavier it? Don’t know what to do.
