I'm actually kinda nostalgic - last chances thread!

oh, and i happen to be applying to many of the same schools as you are.

Don't put yourself too down quite yet! The rest of your schools could yield a few acceptances. You are a strong candidate, (if you are as real as you say ;)) so wait until your other decisions come in before beating yourself up.
I think something odd happened with UCLA this year. Trust me, my stats in comparison to yours are a joke, (as uncomforting as that may be) and I'm OOS. Perhaps UCLA admissions officers scouted the board and decided to completely mess with every CCers perception of a good student so they could partner up with the all-mighty College Board for a "how to get in guide." Evil geniuses!

I know how you feel :( I have a 34 on ACT, same GPA, and a pretty good compilation of ECs and leadership, but no UCLA :(

Don't worry, thankfully privates look at you more in depth than public UC schools. It must be tough going through 55,000 kids. You definitely deserved to get in here but don't worry! Not the end. And still have hope for UCB because in the past, lots of kids get one or the other.

Good luck with the rest of your colleges :]

Waitlist at Duke

Better than I expected, I guess :|

How am I lookin' at Berkeley + Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia, Stanford in light of these recent results?

rejected at duke for me....and yea, i have pretty similar stats, as stated earlier, with the exception of the gpa. rejection from northwestern was pretty surprising for me as well. uggghhh. stanford is this friday i believe? good luck with that. ditto the storm of ivys that come out the 31st

Whew...ADMIT to Cal (Berkeley) for College of Engineering.
Hope remains :)

Good stuff bro. Is Cal your first choice?

Nah lol, but I am extremely happy that I got in.
Tomorrow (Stanford) and Monday (Ivies) are gonna be exciting...

lol! I was waiting for the Stanford decision email, and found out I was WAITLISTED from Johns Hopkins, also by email...

weird.

Yep, figured - REJECTED from Stanford.
How am I lookin'?

Nice. good job on Berkeley! bahh i'm jealous of all these people getting in.

I think it was silly for so many people to tell you that you would get into Cornell but not Columbia, when Cornell's engineering is much better and more selective. Good job on Berkeley, though, your stats are very good.

Please don't start a flame war, btw.
