I'm an artist but how do I show this to colleges? How to send my art to impress them?

Hello everyone, I am starting my applications for colleges, and want them to know how I stand out from others.
One significant thing is that I am an artist, and though that is not the major or any where near the major I want, I still want to send in my portfolio to show schools my art accomplishments, but I'm not sure how to do this.
Can someone tell me if I can digitally submit this somewhere or should I mail in something?
I am applying mainly to UC's and CSU schools, so do they have a certain way I can show them that I am an artist without just saying so, to give some credibility to it?

Admissions websites usually have clear directions for applicants wishing to send in art supplements. May I suggest you dig a little further.

Or, the colleges don’t take any art supplements and will solely accept/reject you based on your grades and scores. I would assume this applies to the CSUs.

You tell them your achieved awards and accomplishments!

… ummmmm call the colleges admissions offices and ask how you can submit your portfolio?

If I may, before calling, trawl the websites to see if they even accept art supplements. Many many do not. Those that do, clearly give directions on their websites. Again, obviating the need for a call.
