I'm applying to American University, please look at this extremely rough draft essay

Would someone read my essay?

If it’s not too late, edit your post to delete your essay. As posted in the locked info at the top of the page:

"When posting to College Confidential, please assume that college admissions people and high school principals are reading your posts. If you post an essay, anyone can read and copy it. All posts to the Internet can be seen and copied by anyone who has a computer.

A more cautious approach to getting an opinion of your essay would be to ask a well-respected poster if they would read and comment on your essay—and then handle the matter via email.

Think about security before you post… on College Confidential or any other place on the web."

Thanks for the advice .

jkeels2013 - I commend you for working on getting a head start by working on your essay during the summer. MommaJ makes a good point about asking asking a respected poster to read your essay. Additionally, you can ask an English teacher that you like to read your essay once school begins. My daughter worked with her SAT tutor on her essays and the essays were not going well. She then met with an English teacher after school who really gave her good suggestions for changes. The advice was excellent and free.
