<p>I got deferred from MIT. I thought I had a pretty good shot (look at me in the decisions section), but ah well. There's always regular review.</p>
<p>I read somewhere that you have to fill out additional forms and such for the next round. What's the deal with them? And furthermore, is there anything I can do to improve my chances?</p>

<p>Hey man, don't lose hope. You're one of the strongest applicants on this board. They take a GOOD deal of deferred applicants during regular decision, this year probably even more people than they take in Early Action.</p>

<p>Speaking of which, I hear that colleges look at your second semester grades to some extent- like, if you do really poorly, they can revoke your admissions offer. What's usually the threshold of slacking? Do you have to, say, fail a few classes for colleges to care about your second semester grades? Would they care if you went from getting all A's to mostly B's? I want to know, so that I know how little I have to do next year.</p>

<p>I'm not blowing off my second semester, taking calc BC, College level acounting, Gifter and Talented, and GYM. I know I will regret not taking senior block(you go home 85 mins early and only have three classes)</p>
