I'm feeling lost. Not sure what to do.

Hi,

I'm really new to this website. I figured maybe someone could help me.

I am a high school senior with a 3.3 GPA. I'm in NHS, AP, and I have done a ton of volunteer work. Sadly, my ACT and SAT were horrible. (19 ACT and about a 1340 SAT) I retook the ACT a week ago hoping to get my scores up.

I was rejected from FSU's CARE program because my father graduated from USF last year. I really don't think I have any other chance of getting in. USF also rejected me, but they never told me why. (I am pretty sure the scores are the reason though)

UWF contacted me and told me if I got my math ACT score up, they would take me. I have also applied to UNF, but I have not heard anything back from them. I feel totally lost. I have no idea what to do now. Community College is not an option my parents are willing to accept.

My dream school is FSU. I would like to maybe get there as a transfer, but I'm afraid I won't make it. I am hoping UWF will take me, but even if they did I have no real desire to go to it. I feel like I'm forced to go because it is the only school that will take me.

Any advice would be lovely.

Thanks guys!!

There are some FL colleges which don’t require scores; Look here for some options:

Hmm. what else do they have in mind if you don’t get into a four year school? It is a good route to get ready to transfer to a four year school, many students follow that path.

But Erin’s Dad has also provided a helpful list. Look through that and find some schools that might work for you. Do they have your intended major, how do your statistics match up, does the net price calculator show that you can probably afford it? What is their application deadline? But if you are past the application deadline, but only be a couple of weeks or so, call them to see if they will accept a late application. Put in some applications, then go visit if you are accepted.
