I'm in a transferring conundrum

So Here's the Story...
Recently I been placed in my school's Academic Suspension list and can not attend for 1 semester. This school is upstate from my home enrolled in an A.S. degree program, I lived on-campus.
I was on probation the semester before suspension and the requirements for my probation was to not get any grade below a C-, and what'ya know I get a D-. BOOM suspension.

I noticed I started doing bad and did some research on alternatives to get my grades up, and came across the idea to transfer to another school to drop the bad grades below a C from my transcript, naturally I would transfer to another CC near my home. It would be cheaper and WAY more affordable, and possibly when my grades rebound I can hopefully get scholarships to help pay for school when I transfer to a 4 year. I live in NYC so I tried to enter the CUNY system. Applied to 4 schools as a Transfer student and did'nt get accepted to ANY.

Side Note: I don't understand the concept of suspension, it seems counter-intuitive. they should reduce the amount of credits you can take instead of sitting a PAYING student out for a semester. If the point is to take a break I think the Summer break is more than enough, seeing as though most students take 3 months off school, it's just dumb to me.

SO NOW
I did a little more research on how i can get my grades up since I didn't get accepted as a transfer (did the colleges see that I was suspended and chose not to accept me?).
My Options right now is to:
+apply to an Accredited Open Admission school, like Devry (i used Devry as an example).
+apply as a non-degree/visiting student to a college

I'm definately working on getting a Job to get some money to help pay for school, which is proving harder than I thought :/ ...

What should I do?

I’m in a similar situation. I basically was not able to find anywhere that would accept me. Currently I am taking classes as a non-degree student to improve my GPA. Depending on your major you can either continue taking Non-Degree Classes at a Community College or a 4-year University. I am currently a Chem major so I’m taking my classes at a 4-year (since I need classes like orgo and bio.) It sucks but you have to find a way to get yourself out of a situation. You may need a semester of good grades, maybe a year or more to apply into another school. Make sure you take the time to do your work and excel in your courses, cause you don’t want to be stuck in CC for 3 or more years.

“drop the bad grades below a C from my transcript”

If you’re going to a community college, you can take the classes you did poorly in over again, but they won’t replace your transcript from your current school. You’ll still have to turn it in when you apply for transfer.
