Hello All :)
I've took SAT on 22nd November 2013 and my results were - CR 420, Writing 530 and Math 670. I really need to increase my CR and Writing sections - mostly CR! Because of my "Great" Score I wasn't offered good deal of scholarships in places where I was admitted. So, this year I'm staying in my own country and planning to retake SAT after 3 months...Can Somebody help me! Mostly I lack of vocabulary - I don't get all the details in texts, only the gist of it!
Also, does the recommended reading list help? if yes, which of them should I read most?
PLEASE HELP ME! Everyone post what you know and think is helpful! I really appreciate your time and help!
Thanks in advance!

The best thing outside of textbooks for CR and Writing is to read and write every day! Read newspapers, novels, magazines, and anything else you can get your hands on. Read an article or chapter and then write a bit about it. What words were confusing or difficult? Look those up. Did you have an opinion on the text? Did a character do something odd? Write about it! Practice is everything.

Try reading the following on a regular basis:
Time Magazine
The New York Times
Newsweek
CNN.com

Have you read the classics? You can use events and concepts from these books in your essay.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Atlas Shrugged
To Kill a Mockingbird
Lord of the Flies
The Great Gatsby
The Scarlett Letter
Of Mice and Men

Everything should be available online or as an ebook. Good luck!
