I'm In!

I just got my letter at about 8:40 this morning by FedEx saying that I've been accepted and identifying me as a finalist for their full-tuition Renaissance scholarship. Unfortunately...that invovles a visit to campus which I can't do for financial reasons although they pay for up to $250 of the expenses. Oh well...I got in so yay!

Congratulations! Did you apply RD or ED?

Congrats! Call admissions and/or financial aid to see if they can provide a work-around for the $$ to get you to the visit.

I applied RD, which is why I'm psyched that I've heard so early. I guess my application was stronger than I thought because I didn't think I'd get in and I DEFINITELY didn't think I'd be a finalist for a scholarship

RD decisions out already? so they don't wait until april to notify everyone at the same time?

Congratulations! Wow, that's really early for RD! Where are you located? Are you in the Northeast? I wonder if other envelopes are on their way!

I think they will only notify people who are selected as Renaissance Scholars, cause I had to know early because the Scholar Weekend is in March

oh and I'm in the South which means I get everything last most of the time..... :(. Just as an update I called and they said they'll reimburse 90% of my travel expenses so I'm just going to borrow the money

...same here. Got my letter via FedEx yesterday. I was really surprised...

We're in the North, and one of d's friends just got the FedEx yesterday, too. So ShaquitaPack, you weren't late this time. Unfortunately, d didn't get it, but we really didn't expect her to. So we just have to continue waiting . . .

SP --

Hey those UR folks are flexible. Keep us posted about your visit...

Congrats!!!
